Delete your Tightline account
You can delete your account and the data tied to it at any time, either in the app or here.
Option 1: in the app
Open Tightline and go to Settings → Account → Delete account, then confirm.
Option 2: on this page
Sign in with the email address you use for Tightline. We'll email you a one-time code to confirm it's you, then type DELETE to delete the account.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes, from our servers:
- Your profile and angler name, and your leaderboard settings and lessons count
- All catches you shared, with friends or the community
- Exact spots you shared with friends
- Your catch photos
- Your friends and friend requests
- Fish together sessions you hosted (for everyone in them), your memberships and your session posts
- Your likes, comments and the reports you made
- Your sign-in account and email address
Deletion can't be undone. Your shared catches also stop counting toward hotspots and leaderboards.
What isn't deleted
- Your catch log on your phone. It never left your device, so we can't delete it from here. When you delete your account in the app you can choose to erase it too; otherwise uninstall Tightline or clear its storage in Android settings.
- Problem reports and state votes you sent. The link to your account is removed. Any email address you typed into a report is erased too.
- Backups. Deleted data can stay in our database provider's backups for up to 7 days before it is overwritten.
Only want to stop sharing? You don't need to delete your account. Open a catch in My Log and tap Make private, or sign out in Settings → Account.
